    When I purchased this watch in September 2009, it cost $1775. The price has come down a bit ($1761 as of this post – let’s call it the Tiger Woods premium) making it an even better deal than when I purchased it. Before ordering, I checked multiple authorized Tag Heuer retailers in the DC-area and did not seen a price better than $3200. However, I did see it with a standard 15% discount at duty-free store in the Caribbean. Regardless, the Amazon price is better: a great deal.

    The watch has 2 modes: time and chronograph. In time mode, the two dials at the bottom indicate the date. It has a perpetual calendar, so when you set the time, you must set the year, month, day, hour, minute and second. In chronograph mode, all of the dials function as a count up timer. You can cycle back and forth between time and chronograph mode while the chronograph is running, which, while no Avatar 3D, still looks really cool.

    When I first took the watch out of its box, the dials appeared not to line up correctly. This wasn’t that surprising as the Amazon box it arrived in was crushed for some reason. I promptly sent it back to Amazon, and they refunded my purchase, shipping included. Figuring the damage was an aberration, I ordered another one. The second one arrived in perfect condition, and I’ve been extremely happy with my purchase ever since.

    The tracking of the order was great, it was delivered very fast; the quality of the watch is excellent. The movement is great and the chronograph feature is useful and fun to use. The watch is a little heavier than I expected, but the band is very comfortable. Great for any luxury watch collectors. Highly recommended.

    I got this watch in April 2009 and it is a great watch, if you are into watches, as I am, it is a great purchase at this price. The links are a little hard to remove, but not impossible. It is not standard pins so if you do not have the knowledge to remove them take it to a store, but it is great. I have Rado’s Omega’s Tag’s Movado’s and this is one of my favorites.
